About the Process

The design process begins with a meeting between the lead designer and the client to develop an understanding of the client's vision, if any, of the future landscape appearances. The discussion includes foreseen usage, goals, time-line and budget for the landscape area. A site visit is made to obtain site measurements, identify soil and microclimate conditions and observer possible effects of adjacent or nearby properties.

Based on the client's vision and information gathered during the site visit, Rivas Landscape Group, Inc. determines all design elements in terms of hardscape and softscape and the prepares in-scale landscape design drawings and a plant list.

These documents are usable for landscape installation by Rivas Landscape Group, Inc. or any knowledgeable installation company of the client's choosing. As the Group's approach to business is based on client satisfaction, if the firm performs the installation, plant materials are guarantied for 30 days. Former clients are happy to serve as reference and many will open their landscape properties for viewing by potential clients.
