About the Designer

Timothy A. Rivas, the principal of Rivas Landscape Group is a landscape contractor licensed by the State of California. Tim enjoys working with each client to develop a landscape that meets individual lifestyle needs. With more than 20 years experience in design and installation, Tim has developed depth and breadth in his landscape knowledge.

Tim has been featured on television's Home & Garden network. A favorite program documented his design and installation of a unique tropical beach garden. Another segment was based on one of his larger design projects, which showcased extensive use of slate at a home in Lafayette, California.

Tim's design work has included a private landscape on Spyglass Hill in Pebble Beach, California and construction of a Japanese garden in the East Bay. He has also served as head gardener for a private estate in Piedmont, California. Previously, Tim worked for three years for a renowned landscape architect David Gates where he learned the business process of a landscape design firm.
